Humble Beginnings

Hi there,

It's been far longer than I'd anticipated, in regards to a journal entry on this blog. I logged on to tell you that this genesis of an idea, a small startup company, is about to take off. You see, tomorrow afternoon I'll board a plane bound for Las Vegas. My destination has very little to do with gambling. I'll be spending the next 96 hours immersed in the latest in electronic wizardry at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2012).

God has been working in my life, connecting dots here and there, without my being aware of exactly what was being done. This past fall, a friend of mine from church and I were casually talking about some ideas I'd been kicking around for some Home Theater related businesses. I've always enjoyed designing or configuring truly great AV systems for family and friends on occasion, and I'd always wanted to know how to cross over from a career in Information Technology, to one that involved feeding my passion. I had no idea that through a series of serendipitous events, we'd be launching something together during our "off hours".

Although we're still very 'Alpha' in terms of being a business entity, Synergy Spaces began to materialize at the turn of the New Year. There is still a long road ahead, with many challenges seen and unseen. However, I'm very excited to make the trip to CES, and absorb as much information I can about all things tech. This data collection process (and subsequent brain dump of pictures, videos, notes and blog) will help us fine tune our products and services, to meet the latest demands of our customers. Who are our customers, and what is it that we actually do? Shhhh... It's still not quite ready to reveal, but those who are close to me, know what we're up to!

May God bless you and keep you,

Good Night

  1. Awesome!! I LOVE IT!!! One of my friends tonight at a networking event actually was wearing a CES backpack and I was thinking, "Why does that sound familiar? Oh yeah, WARREN!!" So many conventions it's hard to keep them all straight. Can't wait to hang out Friday night!!
